For Foreign Residents in Japan
Care You Can Understand and Trust
Foreign residents are welcome at Shimosa-Nakayama Station North Exit Osteopathic Clinic.
Japanese health insurance may be used when your enrollment and injury meet the coverage requirements. We explain the treatment and fees before we begin.
Communication: Our staff do not speak English. We use AI-powered translation tools to help us communicate with you in English.
Japanese Health Insurance
Your Japanese Health Insurance May Be Used
Insurance eligibility is based on your insurance enrollment and the cause of your injury—not your nationality. Please bring your My Number Card or other valid proof of health insurance.
Insurance may apply to
- Sprains and bruises
- Muscle strains, including pulled muscles
- Fractures and dislocations*
- Injuries with a clear cause in daily life or sports
*Except for emergency first aid, fractures and dislocations require a doctor's prior consent.
Insurance generally does not apply to
- Ordinary stiff shoulders
- Muscle fatigue
- Relaxation or preventive treatment
- The same injury currently being treated at a hospital
We will check first. Coverage is decided according to Japanese health insurance rules. We will confirm your condition and explain whether insurance can be used and what the expected fee will be before treatment.
Support for Foreign Residents
You Can Visit With Confidence
Foreign residents are welcome
We provide the same careful assessment and explanation regardless of nationality.
Communication with AI translation
Our staff do not speak English, but they receive training in the use of AI tools. We use AI-powered translation to support conversations during reception, assessment, and treatment.
Nothing begins without an explanation
We explain your condition, the proposed treatment, insurance coverage, and fees before proceeding. Please ask us to repeat or translate anything that is unclear.
AI translation may not always be perfect. For complicated medical histories or important documents, coming with someone who can interpret is helpful.
